Celebrating music with West Australian Music (WAM)

Posted 4 Jul 2025

It was an honour for Act Belong Commit and Healthway to support the 2025 WAM Song of the Year Awards, amplifying the message that music is more than just entertainment – it’s a powerful tool for connection, expression and mental wellbeing.

At the heart of these awards is a celebration of WA’s vibrant music scene and the incredible local talent driving it. We were thrilled to present the Act Belong Commit Award and join in recognising artists who use their craft to make a meaningful impact.

A huge shout out to Iconyx, winner of both the Act Belong Commit and Outstanding Indigenous categories, for Blak on Trak – a powerful anthem celebrating First Nations identity and storytelling while uplifting mental health and wellbeing.

These awards are more than recognition – they are a celebration of creativity, culture, and the strength that music brings to our communities. Together with WAM, we proudly champion music as a force for good.

Act Belong Commit is funded and supported by Healthway, and together we’re committed to promoting mental wellbeing right across Western Australia.

Congratulations to all the winners and nominees. Keep creating, keep connecting and keep inspiring. Your music matters, and our community is stronger because of it.
