Posted 14 Jul 2021
We’re excited to highlight four new partners who have signed on to our Act Belong Commit campaign. We look forward to working with these fantastic organisations to enable mentally healthy communities.
Epsychiatry
Espychiatry psychiatrists and psychologists provide mental healthcare using telehealth format. Services are available to clients over 16 years of age and 90% of clients are based In WA. They encourage their clients to make small but important changes towards a sunnier tomorrow.
Kidsafe Western Australia
Kidsafe WA now includes child mental health and intentional injury in their education and information for expectant parents, new parents and grandparents. The Act Belong Commit message will also be shared in professional development workshops for community health nurses and childcare workers. They aim to reduce the stigma around discussing mental health issues and encourage health seeking behaviours.
Inspire Community Services
Inspire Community Services runs radio station Inspire Radio, staffed by passionate people with physical disabilities and first-hand experience of mental health conditions. Through music and interviews the station promotes mental and physical health and wellbeing and raises awareness of different health and mental health conditions.
Pickleball West
Pickleball is a fast-growing sport with elements of table tennis, badminton and tennis. It’s a big hit with people aged 50 and older but Pickleball West welcomes families and people of any age to experience the fun and inclusivity that comes with playing Pickleball.
