Tidy Towns

If you live in regional Western Australia, why not get involved in Tidy Towns: a Keep Australia Beautiful WA awards program?

It's a great way to get involved with your community, meet new people, get physically active and be commended for any worthwhile activity that benefits your community.

Sustainable issues on which Tidy Towns entrants are judged include: respecting and conserving cultural heritage; recycling and litter prevention; conserving the natural environment; beautifying streetscapes; upgrading facilities for locals and visitors; educating others about the environment; replacing exotic species with native vegetation; harvesting fresh water and conserving energy.

Entry is free and registering for a Tidy Towns award is easy. For information, please telephone 6467 5131, email tidytowns@dec.wa.gov.au or visit http://www.kabc.wa.gov.au/programs/tidy-towns.html
