Shire of Kojonup

Kojonup is a town of approx 2200 people that is located at the mid way point between Albany and Perth along the Albany Highway. 95% of the local population are employed in the agriculture industry and the town has 2 schools an IGA, a Coop and numerous shops and community facilities.

Kojonup has a close knit community that is well know for its proactive locals; many of whom are members of multiple service and community groups. The Shire has become a partner of Act-Belong-Commit to improve the lives of by providing mental health improvement activities.

Reaching new heights

We’re pleased to support our campaign ambassador Garth Civil on his latest personal challenge, a climb to the summit of Mount Imja Tse (more commonly known as Island Peak) in Nepal.

Garth, a career firefighter, has been involved with Act-Belong-Commit as campaign ambassador since 2013 and very much lives and breathes the Act-Belong-Commit ethos.
