Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation

Challenge yourself and discover your potential on a Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Voyage.

The Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation is a not for profit organisation that aims to inspire and challenge the youth of Western Australia. The Foundation runs 7 day/6 night ocean-going voyages where you have the rare opportunity to sail on Australia's largest ocean going tall ship, The STS Leeuwin II, along the coastline of WA.

During the week you will get the chance to take part in a range of adventure and sailing activities including climbing 33metre high masts, keeping lookout in the middle of the night – just you and the stars, steering, navigating and raising sails. Packed with new challenges and even chances to visit nearby islands, every voyage is unique and memorable; whether that's seeing whales and dolphins within arms distance, seeing the ocean glow at midnight, meeting people who will become lifelong friends or driving the ship through stormy swells.

These adventures are not only a lot of fun but will help you develop self confidence, leadership, communication and teamwork skills. It is also Curriculum Council endorsed for students in years 10 – 12. Scholarships are available for anyone between the ages of 14 and 25 to help cover the voyage fare in cases of hardship.

With voyages running all through the year - why not jump onboard and get ready for an amazing and unique experience aboard a Leeuwin Youth Explorer Voyage? If you're interested in applying for a voyage or would like more information visit www.sailleeuwin.com or email ashleigh@sailleeuwin.com
