Aim Archery Club

AIM Archery Club in Western Australia was started for people 50 years and over. Aim Archery is a very friendly  and social club with strong camaraderie amongst members.



AIM Archery Club, shoots at four different venues each week. Members choose which venue suits them the best, however, some members choose to shoot at more than one Southern River on Mondays starting from 8.00am and also Nedlands same time

Dates & Times:

  • Nedlands on Mondays from 8.00am
  • Willeton on Tuesdays from 8.30 am
  • Southern River again on a Tuesday evening (during spring and Summer only) starting at 6.00pm
  • Medina on Wednesdays at 8.00am
  • Bayswater on Thursday at 8.00 am

We have trainers on site at all venues for beginners.

Cost:

  • FREE use of club equipment for three months
  • The first three weeks are FREE thereafter it is $5.00 per week until joining the club
  • Annual membership is $150 per year or pro rata and this includes a fifty dollar Christmas function
  • This allows a member to shoot at ALL venues without any additional charges except the night shoots at Southern River which are $5.00 per shooter this covers lighting and addition ground rent venue

Aim Archery is a very friendly club and that has many social functions throughout the year.

It’s that time of year again where the daylight gets shorter, the weather cools down and our lakes and dams start to fill up again. For some people, this time of year is particularly difficult as the change of season can lead to a decrease in physical activity and leave people feeling unhappy and isolated from friends and family.

New research shows that acting, belonging and committing can prevent mental 'ill' health in older adults

This just released ground-breaking research showcased the results of a three year longitudinal study in Ireland. A team of international researchers from Spain, Denmark and Australia investigated whether Acting-Belonging-Committing prevented depression, anxiety and cognitive decline in people over 50. The results were very clear: they found the more people Acted, Belonged and Committed, the less likely they were to suffer from depression, anxiety and a decline in their cognitive functioning over those years.
