Competition Details

Who can enter:
Anyone living in Western Australia aged 7 years
and older.

What to do:

Create a 45-second advert promoting the positive mental health message act-belong-commit.

Keep mentally, physically, socially and spiritually active: take a walk, say g’day, do yoga, read a book, do a crossword, dance, play cards, stop for a chat, meditate...

Join a book club, take a cooking class, be more involved in groups you are already a member of go along to community events...

act

Take up a cause, help a neighbour, learn something
new, set yourself a challenge,
help out at the school or meals
on wheels...

There are a number of ways you can incorporate the act-belong-commit message into your advert, some ideas include:

  • Creatively explain the act-belong-commit mental health message.

  • Inspire others to keep mentally healthy by using personal testimonials referring to the three act-belong-commit steps.

  • Use signage or items that display the  act-belong-commit logo in the shots.

»  Adult (Ages 18+)

How To Enter

1. Familiarise yourself with the act-belong-commit message

2. Create your 45-second advert promoting the positive
mental health message of act-belong-commit.

3. Upload it to YouTube or post your entry to Mentally Healthy WA.

Upload It To YouTube:

  1. You will need to create a YouTube profile or use your existing YouTube profile. Note, you must be aged 13 years and above to have a YouTube profile.

  2. To create a new YouTube account, simply follow the link www.youtube.com and select ‘Create Account’. Once you have created an account simply upload your video to your YouTube profile and select ‘Public’ in the privacy settings.

  3. After your video is uploaded, copy the URL (the link to your video) and paste it into the online entry form below in the video link box.

  4. Complete the rest of the form and submit it online.

Postal Entries:

  1. Save your 45-second advert to a USB or DVD. Note: postal entries will be uploaded onto the Act-belong-commit YouTube channel.

  2. Fill in the downloadable entry form, attach it to your entry and post it to:
