To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Avon Descent, an iconic West Australian event, a special recognition stream has been created for individuals to be known as the 'Avon Descent Legends'.
Staff and residents of Sunflower Villas at St Bartholomews House have helped to make the lives of two Cambodian families a little warmer – and a lot brighter! – with the completion of their Quilts for Cambodia project. They have been working hard to put together two beautiful quilts to donate to Stitches of Hope, an organisation with a mission of bringing hope to the people of Cambodia who exist on as little as $2 per day. A quilt is a great luxury shared by the whole family, and a welcome addition to the straw mats or bare floor on which they usually sleep.

We’re pleased to support our campaign ambassador Garth Civil on his latest personal challenge, a climb to the summit of Mount Imja Tse (more commonly known as Island Peak) in Nepal.
Garth, a career firefighter, has been involved with Act-Belong-Commit as campaign ambassador since 2013 and very much lives and breathes the Act-Belong-Commit ethos.
